Xenophobia is a casual, fan-based limited format which includes faction-oriented deck construction rules.
The Rules
- A herd is composed of a Shepherd and three Gruffs. At least one of the gruffs must be of the shepherd's Faction.
- The following shepherds are considered factionless and banned from this format until such time as an official Studio Woe update connects them to a faction:
- The shepherd must choose one of his gruffs as his Pet. The Pet must be of the same faction as the shepherd. The Pet cannot be changed once chosen.
- The Pet Killer: Pets which are dead at the end of the match are tallied as Pet Kills. Whoever has the most Pet Kills receives the title of Pet Killer.

The rogue shepherd known as the Pet Killer roams The Betwixt challenging shepherds and ensuring the opponent's Pet is dead by the end of the battle. No one is able to understand the motive behind the Pet Killer's actions.
